Bio Balance produces and markets high-performance, value-priced and environmentally-friendly organic fertilizer products. The prime destinations are home gardens commercial and public green-space. Also, organic growers of specialty food crops can achieve excellent yield and taste results using Bio Balance pure organic product while continuing to restore or enrich their soil for future planting cycles.
The Company builds and operates accelerated, aerobic composting facilities for clients in the food processing industry and for municipalities. The output of these operations feed our fertilizer finishing operations where the nutrient-rich, fully bio-stabilized compost arrives to be processed, bagged and readied to transform gardens, parks, fairways, sports fields and farmers' fields into healthier environments for plant life they support.
Organic waste streams otherwise destined for landfill sites or the conventional practice of direct land spreading, are converted safely into nutrient-rich fertilizer that feeds plants in balance with their growth needs.
Raw manure, black earth and composts, while often good for soil structure, have little nutrient value. Chemical fertilizers generally contain excessive amounts of nutrients that quickly release to the plants whenever the soil is moist but provide no direct benefit to the soil. Both these organic and inorganic sources of nutrients can result in over-priming of the soil and be washed away, a loss to the plants’ needs and a source of pollution to those plants, animals and people downstream.
How We Do It
Bio Balance has a proven 'green' solution for waste generators determined to divert their organic waste streams from the ever rising costs and environmental impact of sewer release or landfill or facing restrictions to direct land application. Our proprietary and patented processes extract the maximum nutrient value from the organic residue then seal in its potency so plants benefit throughout their growth curve while the problematic waste stream is virtually eliminated. Bio Balance locks-in the beneficial nutrients with its carefully managed approach that delivers the important Bio-stability factor!
The Importance of Bio-stability
Organic fertilizers that are biologically and chemically stable:
- Bind the nutrients to the organic matter in the fertilizer to greatly lessen harmful release to the atmosphere as greenhouse gases or leaching into the water-table as pollutants
- Balance the nutrient needs of the plants over their full growth cycle by slowly releasing nutrients on-demand by the plant
- Have no noxious odors during production, in the bag, on application or whenever the soil is wet
- Store better retaining their nutrient value provided the conditions that activate its beneficial organisms-heat and moisture, are minimized
- Have a positive carry-over affect to the next growing season in terms of soil fertility and soil microbial life
- Permit ‘one treatment, anytime’ during the growing season saving time, effort and money
- Require less watering and in the case of lawns, cutting, by improving root growth while avoiding over-stimulation of top growth. Plants become more drought resistant
